Listened to the game on Radio Diamonds. Omg I was on the edge of my seat. What fantastic effort by the lads and great result. They did themselves and the club proud. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’Ž

I wore the carpet out pacing up and down the lounge for 96 minutes. Great result. Where would we be today if Nunn had been appointed last February.

Very proud of the lads today. That's the sort of performance we've been after all season.

First half - came out playing well. Not much between the two sides at all til the goal.

Towards the end of the first half we came under pressure - but Tamworth never really looked like testing Dean.

Tamworth came out all guns blazing at the start of the second... And our defence coped well with the pressure for long periods. The 1-1 equaliser was coming as Tamworth turned on the pressure.

Then just exciting end to end football.

Great to see a group of players who have finally clicked, finally playing in a way that gives us a fighting chance in games.

Once you have confidence in your back line you can push forward and create chances while knowing if you are hit on the break you can deal with it and we really have come on leaps and bounds.

We were very poor before Chris came in so it was obvious there would be some improvement but to be bringing in bundles of players and get them putting in the performances they have been putting in lately is just bonkers.

Life as a Diamonds fan before kick off today...

Tamworth: top of the league.
US: bottom of the league and relegated.

Tamworth fans: these 3 points will help us towards promotion.
Diamonds fans: we should be getting at least a point from this game.

In the last 3/4 games we have looked like a team who are well drilled and well organised, we are 22nd in the league and I have more confidence in the team being able to manage a game than I did when we were flying high last season.

These performances will surely be catching the attention of other clubs at this level who may be safe and starting to think about players for next season themselves.
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

It would be ironic if the two points dropped by Tamworth to Diamonds, Peaksy former club and the team bottom of the league, were to cost them the automatic promotion slot.
