Does anybody remember a game going back to the Roger Ashby era away at Baldock that was abandoned in the first ten minutes due to a frozen pitch?
Why the referee even started the game that day remains a mystery.

I wonder what the match ref said?diamondsteve wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 4:09 pmAround 9am the club spoke to Needhams secretary & chair also the match ref several times before setting off. Needham proper shafted the club and fans here .bozzer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 2:58 pm An absolute joke, the club has incurred expense it really shouldn’t have.
Needham were desperate for it to be on as they thought it was an easy 3 points and it might not be when re arranged.
We should have insisted on a local pitch inspection before our coach left. We would have done so for them.
But a bonus is we get to play them with a new manager

I'm sure the same thing happened to a few clubs in this league the first time we were in it, it's easy to blame Needham but the Southern League should have protocols in place which would mean clubs could be held accountable if they were not acting in the right way.
I said a couple of years ago that this league seem to be a bit slow, the Northern League seemed to be run much better when were in it.

- Play it out from the back.
- 1 up front.
- Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.
