[ Fri 12th July ] v Rushden & Higham Utd, KO 7:45pm AWAY PSF

Post by Dazzler »

OK, not too long now (just over 3 weeks), so may as well put the first poster up, courtesy of Liz, as always.

This is the first Pre-Season friendly for the 19/20 season and is an AWAY game for AFCR&D, at Hayden Road, so players will go into the AWAY changing room, and is played for the Chris Ruff Trophy annually.

Rushden & Higham Utd will have a new manager this year, as Abbo has stepped aside after four years, though most of the backroom staff have remained, as well as many players.

<BUMP> A few days to go...

The initial lines have been put back - before proper pitch cutting.

I was not at the game so who were the trialists? At least two were UCL players I believe. At least the goal drought was ended. Orient will be a tad tougher I suspect.

I think the idea of them being listed as trialist is often due to connections with other Clubs, however I can confirm I recognised a couple of them one being ...... ..... formally from ............
I did like on first impressions the Number 6 & 11 in first half and the 14 who came on at half time. Would like to see them against better opposition as to be fair R&H were not that strong.

Number 9 was Ryan dove, who's mainly played for cogenhoe and Northampton Spencer. I heard one of the young midfielders in the second have was Matt slinn, who was released by cobblers. He looked decent. So did the number 11 in the first half, who scored a cracker, although I think it was meant to be a cross. Overhead from somebody who said he'd come from Chelsea, but not sure how true that is. Number 6 in the first half had cone from soham town.
