Sounds like a different team in each half tonight so presumably a few trialists will be on show.

Just a reminder that KO is 7:30 and not the usual 7:45.

Nathan Hicks playing for us tonight then

I think it was the same Zack Reynolds that was in the R&DFC Youth setup about the time the club folded. He looked like he would be a decent replacement for one of our departed wing-backs, with Shawn Richards trying out on the other flank (getting plenty of "encouragement" from Jack Ashton in the art of covering back). Nathan Hicks was very impressive, but we didn't see enough of Rhys Kelly to form an opinion on him. Quite a few players had good games, and it was great to see Jack Ashton and Ross Oulton looking fit and sharp. Interesting to see a certain striker taking part in the warm-up too, even if he took no part in the game.

I was a massive fan of Zack Reynolds when he was in the old R&DFC U18s, assuming it's the same one. He joined Luton along with Jerry Nash and Jake Woolley after we folded. No idea what he's done since, but would be great to see another ex-Diamond at the club, especially if he can live up to the promise he showed as a youngster.

Is it definitely the same Zack Reynolds? I didn’t recognise him and seem to recall the RDFC Zack Reynolds had (very) blonde hair. Either way, he looked useful tonight, as did Hicks at times.
Would much prefer to see Ben Diamond playing as a striker than in midfield as he was tonight. John Dean looked very sharp so there’s plenty of competition in that area, particularly if Robbins is back in the fold.
If Shawn Richards is back with us hopefully he brings his form from 2016 and not 2017. On tonight’s evidence it’ll be a bit of both.
Who is Rhys Kelly?

You're perhaps right about Zack Reynolds - I don't know for certain. He seemed to be about the right age, although there seem to be suggestions this one was in the Crawley Town youth system at some point. I think the R&DFC player was one of the first year players when they won the Midland Youth Cup at Chesterfield, making him a year younger than the likes of Jake Gillingwater, Elliot Dent or Lewis Wilson , but in the same bracket as Jake Woolley or Jerry Nash who went on to complete their apprenticeships elsewhere.BartonRaz wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 9:37 pm Is it definitely the same Zack Reynolds? Great see another one of my class turn out for AFC RD - any blonde lid seen during his RDFC days was temporary...unless you’re describing the other right back in his age group who is now primarily known for his dubious opinions on players. You are right Formic re same year as Jerry Nash (plus Joe Curtis, Kyle Swailes and Ben Ford).

Reynolds played 23 games for Chesham last season. And looks like Nathan Hicks was at Biggleswade.
