Delighted with that, for me Hartley was one of the best away days even though we lost, well run Club and nice people, except the Chairman who returned you know who after we had gone to such lengths to leave him there
I watched Hayes a few times and was possibly over impressed by them, I was fairly sure that from January they would push on and maybe get automatic promotion, but I may have just seen them on good days, as on reflection having been the only side to do the double on us and stop us scoring should we have got something from those 2 games, yes probably 4 points. Guess the perfect result for us is a Cambridge win for another local game next season and it will at least be at Histon not the paddy fields of St Ives.

So whack all your money on Cambridge then. This situation is ripe for what you might call an "arrangement". Hartley let Cambridge win and both go up anyway? What a farce!

Already have at 9.30 last night when the above looked like the likely Final.UttoDiamond wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 7:27 amSo whack all your money on Cambridge then. This situation is ripe for what you might call an "arrangement". Hartley let Cambridge win and both go up anyway? What a farce!

Re: Next Season - Central League Premier
I’m sure Hartley Wintney will try to win the Playoff final and not do Cambridge City any favours and they will be placed in the Southern Premier league. If City do win then it will be interesting to see who they are likely to replace in the new Central Premier league. Bedworth or Stamford will surely take a spot in this league.

K*ttering though eh?
I’ve already messaged Lord Darby to inform him - he wants to come to a match next season - seems a fitting one eh?

Re: Next Season - Central League Premier
Leiston lost last night, so they will probably be in our league. Only remaining decisions concern Kings Lynn who will likely be promoted to Step2 and Cambridge can they beat Hartley Wintney to join us.

Bedworth beat Stamford 2-1. (AET)sussexdiamond wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 9:00 pmStamford and Bedworth won tonight, so one of them will join us next season.sussexdiamond wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 3:48 pm The final line up of our opponents for next season is still some way from being decided.
The play off contenders have now been decided and there are several changes that could happen to that original projected list.
We could have in our division either Bedworth OR Stamford plus Evesham and Cambridge City.
And it is still possible for Leiston to move up to Step 2.
Maybe NEITHER of Kings Lynn NOR K*ttering will be promoted.
If Grantham are not promoted they too come into the equation.
And there is still a question mark over the future of Lowestoft
That's a possible eight changes. If any of those scenario's come about I wonder who would drop out of the projected list.
Re: Next Season - Central League Premier
We would expect longer journeys when moving up to Step 3, so the list doesn't look too bad mileage-wise.
I'm glad we did our stint in the Northern Premier league when we did, as I note that now Wisbech have moved up to Step 4 they may face trips to Morpeth and Marske - around 5 hours each way on a coach I reckon.
