Typical away performance from us. Dogged, determined and frequently dangerous in front of goal. Had it not been for Dolman (who was immense) we would certainly have drawn, good to see he hasn't let that poor performance against Kidsgrove affect him at all. I also thought the three in central midfield were excellent and Bunting had his best game in a very long time.

Farrell's goal was sensational and i'd be shocked if we see a better goal this season, pity the Pitchero highlights were badly affected by the sun.

A great day out, a great result, but moreover it was a bloody good game of football on a very heavy pitch.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Everything about today was positive, especially the result. I feel Diamonds shaded it on their first half performance, we could so easily have gone 3-0 had Tom taken his chances. Great save from Finners and how Dolman kept that ball out I do not know.
We wait all season for a penalty save then get two in successive matches. Sheffields best crowd of the season, but should be beaten next week when they play Shaw Lane.

Good atmosphere in the Coach and Horses before the game, and a good selection of beers. Surprised to find a table load of Oldham supporters there, they were quite interested in how we are doing nowadays. Oldham won 1-0 at Chesterfield so a good day for them also.

Defensively I thought we were good with Bully excellent, midfield was ok. However going forward we continue to look poor. The formation doesn't suit Nabil and he looks half the player at the moment. Tom tries but misses so many chances, the one where he was clean through and shot from the edge of the box when he could have gone on another 10 yards sums it up. Could have forgotten that Fazil was playing. 3 points but need to improve massively over the next month with tough games coming up.

It was interesting to hear that Liam Dolman was carrying an injury into that game - yet still produced the sort of performance that helped us to win the three points. With the prospect of heavy pitches home and away for the next couple of months it will be interesting to see if we bring in more defensive cover.
The pitch wasn't great yesterday, but was rather in keeping with the rest of the ground, which was pretty poor, especially given the blockade at the dugouts. There seems to be a lot of hype around Sheffield FC, so perhaps I was expecting the ground to have a lot more character - it looked like there might have been a direct connection to the pub at one point, but without that it was pretty disappointing. I guess the fact they only moved to this ground in recent years, taking over from a local Dronfield team doesn't help.
It also seemed to attract those sorts of spectators who are dragged along by their mates to see "the oldest club in the world" and then proceed to spend the game telling everyone within earshot how poor non-league football is, and comparing every incident with what they get for their £30+ at championship or premiership games.
I think Sheffield FC need to find a ground with traditional charm that isn't in a Derbyshire town - preferably within Sheffield itself.

Sheffield FC have already announced plans to move back to Olive Grove in Sheffield where the club first began 160 years ago.
