We are going to need to be on our best game as Royston have improved recently with decent wins. A danger man will be Tom Knowles who is currently on loan from Cambridge United. He played, again on loan, for Cambridge City when we beat them at Hayden Road last season. He was on loan at K*ttering Town a couple of months ago when he scored a spectacular late free kick for a Poppies win at Stourbridge Town. Last Saturday he was again the cause of Stourbridge’s 2-1 defeat at Royston. They must be sick of the sight of the lad!

Royston forgo a training session last evening and instead plumped for a home friendly fixture against Soham Town Rangers. The Crows got thumped 3-0.

Very tough game this. They have won five of last six and last week beat Stourbridge. Plus of course they beat us earlier in the season.

Apparently this is a Community Day fixture with the new 156 seater stand to be formally opened at 1.45pm. I wonder if Duane and Justin are doing the honours?
