Pleased with our performance against a decent Alvechurch side who were solid at the back and played a nice brand of football but were lacking in attacking threat. A point was a fair result although if the Ref had the same view I did of the Alvechurch handball in injury time I’m certain he’d have pointed to the spot. Stonewaller.
Good performances across the board, particularly from Ben Heath whose handling was excellent and was my MOM, and also Blaize Punter who stepped back in and didn’t put a foot wrong again. First time i’d seen Collard and I was very impressed with him.
Great to see one of my childhood heroes in attendance.

Very happy with the performance and point gained. With only 1 up front it was always going to be a tough point and so it proved.
Heath made some outstanding saves and the whole team battled throughout.
Who let the Darby out?

Thought John Dean put in a good shift having not started a league game since August I think. Thought his time was up with his performance against cogenhoe, but if he can use that pace to his advantage he can be a useful assett to the team. Definitely happy with a point yesterday, on an old ground, added with the slopeist of pitches I've ever seen. Like already mentioned, great to see a former legend in attendance. If it was down to him living nearby, maybe he'll be at Redditch in a couple of weeks.
