The only time they looked a bit better was when they brought the two subs on. The big striker started in the league fixture and I'd imagine he was rested somewhat yesterday. Would have been an injustice if they had of managed to find an equalisersussexdiamond wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 10:07 amI've seen them twice and they are the poorest team we have played (I did not see Redditch). Even Needham were better.DiamondDen wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 8:44 am It appears the St Ives Manager watched a different game yesterday:

I have been looking at potential opponents for the next round. Assuming we are still in the midlands section of the draw.
Very few if any Step 4 opponents as Bedford and Kempston, who both drew, are still likely to be in southern section. Yaxley are possibles but their game has yet to be played due to player eligibility problems. The only other possibles are Stamford and AFC Mansfield but both of them have replays.
So it looks like Step 3 opponents again. The obvious stand out one being K*ttering Other possibles from our league are St Neots and Halesowen. Those that drew are Tamworth, Kings Lynn, Stratford/Alvechurch, Barwell/Coalville.
From the Northern League Basford are the only ones definitely through. Buxton, Gainsborough and Hednesford all drew but not sure how likely they are to be in our section
Mustn't be greedy but yet another home tie would be welcome.

Tomorrow. Don't know exact time, but usually around lunch time. 72 teams to be reduced to 36. Then joined by 44 Step 2 teams in third qualifying round. National League join at First Round. Diamonds have never got further than second qualifier and have never been drawn away from home.
