For me it was a bit disappointing. I struggled to see what the formation was supposed to be and it ended up being very scrappy. Sometimes it looked like there were too many in too small a space in the middle of the park, without a wide player out ball. Two good goals though in blustery conditions so an ok point and comfortably mid table, with a game in hand of some.

Another tough watch yesterday.

Thought Hopkins was really good, but beyond that we didn't really have any threat going forward.

For me, I don't see how Bowen keep's starting up top, especially on his own. Lorraine offers so much more, especially in the air.

Playing Ben out wide is a massive waste of our best striker, and I worry that we'll lose John Dean if he doesn't start getting an opportunity in the first XI. I'd hoped with Joel gone, (which I'm not at all disappointed about) John could have replaced that pace, but it's clear Peaksy doesn't fancy him.

Football aside though, great show by the club yesterday on Non League Day. Free Chips, Pay What You Want, inviting the local posties and promoting #WouldntChangeAThing - Proper club, proper values

A disappointing game, we seem to be in a transition period on the pitch, half the players look more than capable at step 3 the other half not. Our best player Ben Diamond needs to be in the middle not on the wing, isn't that why he left Corby??

Good interview with Peaks on the radio after the game, building ties with Oxford, hopefully Hopkins is the first of many, you can see he has improved since his first game, hopefully we can also arrange a pre-season friendly with them.

Also did I see work has started on the main stand?

It seems to be a popular thing these days to play fast strikers on the wing rather than their favoured role in the middle, despite it not really being successful!

Thought we were better in the 1st half, and edged the 1st half, 2nd half was more evenly balanced, a point properly fair.

Decent crowd.

Was our goal offside? I wasn't level with play but it looked it.

It looks like he's onside, at 1:26, level with the Barwell defender, with the ball already travelling some distance.

Can't get an all in frame but given when the ball goes past Hopkins he's only half a yard past the last defender and the ball had already travelled 45 yards I would think it likely he was onside, though the Barwell Manager may take some convincing.
