Professional performance as they say. Bit of a dire game tbh. Westwood was my MOTM really giving it all atm ,deservedly got his goal.

A very hard game against h&y a team which do well in our league. But it will be their hardest game so far this season too so could be a high scoring game

Decent game where we never looked like losing although credit to Deeping for a good period before half-time.

Westwood clearly MOM in my opinion. Teams up well with Gyasi, great prospect to be a solid RB.

Bit of a non-event really, probably because we were expected to win and did so comfortably with the exception of a 5-10 minute period just before half-time when they gave it a bit of a go. Really it played out how the first game should have.

The Deeping manager has been giving their team over-the-top praise this morning. They didn't disgrace themselves by any means but to say "we dealt with them really well" is pushing it a bit. My favourite line was: "All they did was play square passes and try to bang it behind us."

Old friend Mark Lea on the match report duties.

I don't know about most people but I always found his coverage in the ET pretty fair and honest?

Probably the reason why Cousins banned him from the Stadium for a period.

It was a job well done by everyone. I had Westbrook and Westwood as joint m.o.m.
As for us knocking it square you can afford to do that as it builds possession, confidence, moves the opposition around the pitch and creates openings.

Yes, shocking. Note to the committee, have a word in the coaching teams ear 🤣😂.
How very dare we?

Callum got it dead right there when he said that Deeping could have gotten back into it in the first half. I would still have had confidence in us to win from that position but it would have made it a lot harder.

Special mention to their manager for spouting the biggest load of rubbish I have heard from the away dugout this season so far :cheesy:
