Agree its a bad move, if he really has ambitions of playing in the national league he needed to come back here for another season, aim to double his stats (think he only scored 6 goals last season) and that will put him in the shop window and then he will have a lot of clubs interested.

Yeah saw that, via http://wellingboroughtown.nonleague.tod ... s_id=13712

"Wellingborough supporters may also have missed the return to the Dog & Duck of striker Alfie Taylor.

Alfie (pictured) joined the Doughboys for the first time back in 2006, along with Adam Randall, as an under-18 after leaving K*ttering Town.

He progressed into the first team and then embarked on a journey that has taken in stops at AFC Rushden and Diamonds, Loughborough Dynamo, Cogenhoe United, back at K*ttering Town, Northampton Spencer, Brackley Town, Daventry Town, Woodford United, Whitworths and, more recently, Irchester United.

Found this old pic whilst sorting some bits at stadium the other day...

Had an unexpected and enjoyable chat with Darren Caskey today. He played 18 games for us in 2006 under managers Barry Hunter and Paul Hart.

He asked about how the club was doing - and if Max was still involved. Darren still keeps in regular contact with Barry Hunter at Liverpool and recounted several stories about colleagues such as Drewe Broughton!!

My main memory of Caskey was him being shoved over by John Dempster (who then got sent off) when we beat Oxford 3-0 at home. Great moment :cheesy:

Darren caskey was a decent player as a youngster playing for spurs, Watford and I think England u21s. I thought that was an incredible signing when he was brought in during the start if the downfall of the club. I pretty sure the dumpster shove on him was both their debuts for their respective clubs!
