Grays Saturday

Post by Everyweeker »

I've no doubt it is OK, since Grays actually do this, but I thought you couldn't penalise away fans for being away fans?

ADULT - Home (Terracing and Seating I believe?) £13
Away £13

STUDENT - Home £10
Away £10

15-16 Year Old - Home £5
Away £8

UNDER 14 - Home Free
UNDER 11 - Away £4

So we pay more even though we stand on an uncovered terrace just because we are away fans, justify that?

I've emailed Grays on this point and await a reply.

Perhaps, since I don't usually check home prices, this system is common place? Does anyone else have experience?

I understand that often away fans may be charged more depending on where they sit in the ground (all-seating v terracing for example) but in the case of Grays the away end is of the exact same quality as the home end.

In essence this is a case of clear discrimination based on which team you cheer for, and I cannot believe that it is legal (or legal if really pushed).

Further, feel free to check the Grays website on the chance I've read it wrongly and am making myself look like a muppet (or like Rich James on an underground train... ;) )
