Re: [ Sat 9th Feb ] v King's Lynn Town, KO 3pm ESCP HOME

What a fantastic win, excellent defending and discipline in the second half. Tom Lorraine put in one hell of a shift. Was anyone else surprised by the serious lack of numbers King’s Lynn brought with them? Think they had about 15 fans, appalling show considering what they have to play for and weathe...

Re: [ Sat 19th Jan ] v Bedworth Utd, KO 3pm ESCP AWAY

Thought we responded to their red card really well, took a firm grip of the game straight away and caused them lots of problems all through the second half. They had a couple of useful attaching players (the 7 & 10) but Bully was back to his best and it was good to see Sam Brown return and Curti...

Re: Ground Grading Update and Fundraising Initiative

Exposed once again for what they are.

And did anyone else notice that the official statement didn’t actually include an apology?

Shambles from top to bottom.

Re: [ Mon 25th Aug ] v St Neots Town, KO 3pm ESPC AWAY

Great 3 points. Was a bit concerned in the first half when they pushed us back and their set-pieces were causing us problems, but after the break we were much more assertive and gave their defence plenty to worry about. Bully was superb and a great calming influence. We’re above the likes of King’s ...

Re: Next Season - Central League Premier

Not entirely convinced of Betway’s knowledge of this league considering they don’t appear to know the proper name of our club, so I’d take this with a few pinches of salt. Obviously K*ttering & King’s Lynn are the big spenders and should finish in the top 2, whereas for us I imagine we’ll be loo...

Re: Former Players

Guess RR has to hunt around for some options - he would’ve been low down our pecking order below Lorraine, Diamond, Bowen, Hall and possibly Dean for the coming season? Plus, given this will be our first season at this level, we need players with consistently strong attitudes who will give it their ...

Re: Next Season - Central League Premier

It’s actually quite astonishing to think that in just 6 seasons we’ve overtaken Corby and are now in the same league as K*ttering. Considering we’ve been run as an entirely self-sufficient fan-owned enterprise and the Poppies (for the last 4 seasons at least) have been funded by significant private ...

Re: [ Tue 24th Apr ] v Aylesbury FC, KO 7:45pm ESE HOME

Top performance from the whole team in tricky playing conditions. We were on top throughout and really dealt with the pressure in style. Huge congratulations to Andy Peaks and his coaching team, the players and all the club’s volunteers whose efforts from last summer onwards have laid the foundation...

Re: [ Sat 17th Feb ] v Chalfont St Peter, KO 3pm ESE HOME

Hard-fought win that. Think that’s 17 unbeaten now? Also great to keep another clean sheet and maintain the best defensive record in England. Dolman was excellent once again, marshalling the back line throughout. Elsewhere, Cambridge lost at home to Hayes and AFC Dunstable dropped points with a draw...

Re: [ Sat 25th Nov ] v Ashford Town FC, KO 3pm ESE AWAY

No Joel Gyasi in the squad today. I hope this doesn't mean he's left! I imagine those up the A6 will have made him a very lucrative offer indeed - as they have constantly been doing over the last 3 years or so in assembling their very pricey squad - so it may be difficult for Joel to refuse, to be ...
