Something To Ponder - The Difficulty Of Signing Experienced Players

As another week goes by with no sign of any signings, some fans may be getting frustrated and thinking "gosh we still haven't added any experience" which given the situation we are in is understandable. It's easy to think that because we have a limited budget - we can't afford them, which ...

Re: [ Sat 4th Nov ] v Boldmere St Michaels, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

I think Chris wanted to add an older player or two to the squat but just found it harder than he expected in being able to make it happen, I found it puzzling that he brought veteran Tom Lorraine in and left him on the bench in the first few games of the season, if he wasn't capable of doing 90 minu...

Re: Just a thought

Northants FA wouldn't go for that. To be honest now we've dropped a league and are in a poor league position I suspect the attendance will be very low, the enthusiasm the fans had over the summer which would have added a few hundred to the gate if it was a friendly has gone so we will be lucky to ge...

Re: [ U23s / Development Squad ] Update

I look at it this way, if you look at today's Wellingborough Town starting line up - 4 or 5 of their players could do a job in our first team. If you look at our U23 Development squad - 0 could do a job in our first team. If players over 20 are not capable of playing first team football in the UCL t...

Re: [ Sat 28th Oct ] v Rugby Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Unfortunately when we won the other day people were saying we've turned a corner, amazing, fantastic etc, sentimental rubbish papers over the cracks and results in fans expectations of the players to go up again and start thinking we are entitles to win games against certain teams. Until we can sign...

Re: Luke Massingham

Can it get any worse? The one player we definitely could not afford to lose. You clearly haven’t seen many games this season… To be fair, it is a big blow, Luke is an experienced defender who on his day can be solid, so that in itself is a blow. The bit that makes the blow bigger is that we have a ...

Currently 2-1 up, attendance is 414.
Tom Chapman back at the club too, a very sensible addition to the coaching team.

Histon currently 5-0 down at Daventry, Chris Nunn must have crossed paths with a black cat.

Re: Chris Nunn Leaves

I can't believe people are suggesting we go for a manager who pumps his own money in to sign players. Managers like that are just desperate failures, a good manager will work within the clubs budget, if he can't meet the aims of the club with that budget then he is clearly not a good manager. Take D...
