Re: Someone has to start it

I'm not going to be calling for his head yet, but something has to change and fast. I will agree that the board were hasty in giving Burge a contract, and that could prove to be a costly mistake if he can't turn things around soon. It does appear that Burge and his assistant need some help with pla...

Re: Former Players

A great pundit once said, 'you'll win nothing with kids'. The rest as they say, is history. But all those players that Alan Hansen famously mentioned on MOTD in 1995 were the cream of youth football from one the top 5 Premier League Clubs and had played together over a number of years with full tim...

Smith has done the rounds with Corby, Grantham and Stamford amongst his former clubs. We certainly need a frontman in the style of Russ Dunkley.

Re: Player News

Conor Tee looks a very useful addition to the squad. 36 appearances and 6 goals for South Shields last season and a former Leicester City U18 player of the year and experience at U23 level with the Foxes.
An ideal opportunity for him to impress here and, hopefully, go on to perform at a higher level.

Re: Club Chair Delay

I’d rather the board took their time to sort it out than rush it. Totally agree, in a fan owned club, the skills are mainly leadership and management whereas in other clubs is it usually the owner or majority shareholder that has this role. The Ploppies, however, had a non owner Chairman but I unde...

Re: 🔍 Southern League Premier Central - Club Signings

they are managed by former K*ttering Town manager Thomas Baillie who I think actually won this league with them so I am surprised that wasn't mentioned in the preview as that should stand them in good stead. Baillie was actually joint manager, in tandem with Scott Machin, at the Ploppies when they ...

Re: Premiership Fantasy Football

Don’t forget to re-register if you intend to enter the AFCRD League. Match Day 1 commences this Friday the 5th with the first fixture and we currently have 38 entrants so it would be nice to get at least 50 this season.
If you know of anyone let them know the Code which I published earlier.

Re: [ Sat 23rd Jul ] v Daventry Town FC, KO 3pm PSF AWAY

Burge has his philosophy and has the kind of players that he wants in the team so perhaps he didn't fit that, I agree that on his day he can be a very exciting player but we need to back our manager in such decisions and none of us know how the player had been performing or what attitude he was dis...

That raises an interesting point and perhaps the Club ought to do some research and find out how many people actually bother to visit the OWS?
