Re: Former Players

No surprise. RR scored winner for Corby in their top of the table match with Berkhamstead.

Jack Bowen continues to thrive at Daventry

Re: [ Sat 23rd Nov ] v Lowestoft Town, KO 3pm SLPDC HOME

With two successive home matches that gives us a good chance to get back into play off zone, especially as only two teams above us have games this Saturday due to others being involved with FA Trophy. Lowestoft have won their last two games including beating Coalville last week so it will be no easy...

League Challenge Cup

It looks as though the next round will be on 3rd Dec. Assuming the draw is still heavily regionalized our possible opponents could be Needham Market, who we were due to play in the League that night. If it is to be I only hope we are at home. The other Central and Eastern teams that are in the next ...

A chance to put these cheats in their place, although I expect them to field a strong team this time with no ineligible players.

Other ties:
Peterborough Sports v Rothwell
Daventry v Desborough
Welly v Ploppies.

Should we get through some tough opponents likely

Re: Favourite/Best AFC R&D XI

Not easy this and made harder given some of our best wide players didn’t score enough and couldn’t cross a ball. So there has to be an argument for Gearing or Rogers in there if we are comprising a team. I’ll start with my worst as a little easier. Shorunmu Wilkinson Gillingwater McDonald(C) Lee Mc...

Re: Nabil Shariff

I actually see Nabil playing with his back to goal as a positive. His hold up play is far superior to anyone else we have now or in the past few seasons. When he receives the ball on his chest he is always looking for someone to lay it off to, unfortunately rarely was anybody available! His heading ...

Winners away to Stalybridge or South Shields, not quite what we would have wanted. Could it have been much worse.? South Shields top of the Northern Premier League. But it is what it is so lets beat Banbury first.

Re: How to increase the playing budget?!

What about 100 or 200 Club with monthly prize. 100 people paying £10 a month = £1000. With £500 going to the club. When I was much younger and living in Hastings. I helped as a fundraiser, paying a shilling a week, (5p to you younger folk). This was in aid of Hastings United. It was based on goals s...
