Re: [ Sat 8th Dec ] v Alvechurch FC, KO 3pm ESCP AWAY

Very happy with the performance and point gained. With only 1 up front it was always going to be a tough point and so it proved.
Heath made some outstanding saves and the whole team battled throughout.
Who let the Darby out? 😃💎💎💎

Re: Club Agree Heads of Terms for New Home

Superb work by the board. Now ALL we have to do is build an eco-friendly, low costs and maintenance stadium. Solar, wind, ground source heating and cooling, rain water collection, LED lights throughout. Should be simples

Re: [ Sat 24th Nov ] v Lowestoft Town, KO 3pm ESCP AWAY

I don’t think you can do that at centre half. We need another CB, unfortunately I don’t think Blaize is the answer. He would be short term though. I think he's a decent player and he is only 21 I'd take another look at Casey if we can't get someone in. I think we have to be more patient this season...

Re: [ Tue 20th Nov ] v Banbury Utd, KO 7:45pm ESCP AWAY

We certainly seem to be more Mr Hyde than Dr Jeckyll so far this season. We need to ask ourselves, what do we want? A shot at the play offs? Mid table obscurity? Whatever we want we have to consider the cost. If we're happy with mid table then how do we justify spending on new players? I'd like to s...

Re: Our back four

Personally I think it would be better if we didn't pick out individual players for criticism on the forum, but that's just my opinion. I bet they read it. For the record I was very happy with Westbrook covering at centre half and I think he did a fine job - our record with him at centre half (Needh...

Re: Our back four

I still think we have room for a tall centre half, for some presence in both boxes.
For me, I find midfield a bit muddled at times, with Westbrook sitting in front of the back 4. It can be so effective but sits too deep so loses cohesion and contact with the strikers.

Re: [ Tue 13th Nov ] v Hitchin Town, KO 7:45pm ESCP HOME

It was a good result that saw the team react well to the weekend defeat. Still a little too deep at times, but no one gave up running. That's the level of effort the team needs to consistantly deliver to reach its full potential. Quality first goal with accurate passing, good movement and great stri...

Whilst I appreciate your calmness Brownie, surely we aspire to be better than "gutless, inept and tactically clueless" even on a bad day?
If we're accepting we're a small fish in a big pond then we must have desire, passion and effort from our team. There's a long way to go yet.

If you hang around outside the turnstiles I've heard they'll drag you inside anyway
