Re: Our back four

Personally I think it would be better if we didn't pick out individual players for criticism on the forum, but that's just my opinion. I bet they read it. For the record I was very happy with Westbrook covering at centre half and I think he did a fine job - our record with him at centre half (Needh...

Re: Our back four

I still think we have room for a tall centre half, for some presence in both boxes.
For me, I find midfield a bit muddled at times, with Westbrook sitting in front of the back 4. It can be so effective but sits too deep so loses cohesion and contact with the strikers.

Re: [ Tue 13th Nov ] v Hitchin Town, KO 7:45pm ESCP HOME

It was a good result that saw the team react well to the weekend defeat. Still a little too deep at times, but no one gave up running. That's the level of effort the team needs to consistantly deliver to reach its full potential. Quality first goal with accurate passing, good movement and great stri...

Whilst I appreciate your calmness Brownie, surely we aspire to be better than "gutless, inept and tactically clueless" even on a bad day?
If we're accepting we're a small fish in a big pond then we must have desire, passion and effort from our team. There's a long way to go yet.

If you hang around outside the turnstiles I've heard they'll drag you inside anyway

Re: [ HISTORY - The Old Stand (from pitchside), Hayden Road 1922 v 2018]

I also saw on Twitter that the changing rooms have to be a certain size. It sounds pathetic, but does Hayden Road's meet the required size? 18 square metres is the requirement for home and away changing rooms which is slightly larger than the existing rooms at the ground. There's also a minimum siz...

A much better game than the last one. We set about them from the start and scored two lovely counter attacking goals.
We did fall apart after the substitutions but overall deserved the win.
A little bit of prize money at last, let's hope we get a good home draw and go on a decent cup run.

Re: [ HISTORY - Bar Memorabilia 1 ]

The Airwair Stand end didn't have a previous name but those trees were all sponsored by various people/ businesses. I guess it was the lock end or summat due to the locks at the end of Marsh Lane.

Re: [ SHIRT QUIZ 1 ] Name the Signatures on the Old Shirt :-)

I've only ever been to 3 R&D games. One of those was Brian Talbot's last game in charge and another was Ernie Tippett's last game in charge (away at Cheltenham (1-4 loss away) in Jan '05. So I'm guessing that the shirt is from 04/05. No clue about shirt numbers so I'm going to guess Barry Hunter (w...

Re: [ Sat 20th Oct ] v King's Lynn Town, KO 3pm ESCP AWAY

It looks like even their own staff are embarrassed by the prices they charge, judging by that online ticketing page, where it states tickets are available "from £8" - which is actually the price for juniors / students. The refund policy is a bit tricky to find, but it states: "What happens if I hav...
