Re: [ Sat 30th Nov ] v Worcester City, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

For anyone making a day of it - It's worth knowing that Worcester Victorian Christmas Market is on this weekend, so the City Centre is expected to be very busy, with parking limited.

Won't be able to make this one I'm afraid due to another commitment, despite being one of my more local games.

Great result. Very much cementing our place at top end of mid-table now. Mad to think we're on the same points now as the end of March last year!

Re: [ Sat 2nd Nov ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

If I understand NPLs statement correctly.

Does that mean the relegation zone stays as 4 teams, with teams 18, 19, 20 and 21 now in it (whereas before it was 19, 20, 21 and 22). However team 18 may become eligible for a reprieve at the end of season.

Instead of it automatically becoming a 3 team ...

Great result, much needed with a lot of teams around us all winning. That gap from the relegation zone isn't looking anywhere near as bad now

Re: Walsall Wood

Don't see any official league announcement yet - but that's come from Express & Star (local paper for Black Country), so probably in the know.

Re: Walsall Wood

League must be in a difficult situation

On the one hand, it's 'failing to fulfil a fixture' a number of times, and those should be given as walkover wins to their opposition, and probably Walsall punished with a points deduction.

But on the other hand - that action only really works if it's likely ...

Re: Walsall Wood

Blyth Spartans in a lot of trouble also, their chairman has decided to sell up, and they've been unable to fulfill their fixtures against Gainsborough Trinity and FC United this week.

Re: Walsall Wood

It'll be interesting whether they complete the season, limp on with a new manager and vastly reduced squad, or fold altogether - looking at twitter - their owner is on an extended 'holiday' and being radio silent on paying players etc. isnit reallt worth gambling with the clubs future for 1 or 2 ...

Football Web Pages has a handy 'table by date' feature - so to answer Pigmans Question - 30th January was when we had this many points last season.

That feels a really long way away to me.
