Re: [ Sat 27th Apr ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

There are loads of moments across the season that we can point to. That last minute winner at Cov Spynx a prime example. Can’t really be too disappointed, we have been excellent the last 3 months apart from the odd game. We have missed out on goal difference and played less than half the season gett...

Re: [ Sat 27th Apr ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Hmmm, this was the Walsall wood that lost 4-0 to rugby and Boldmere lose 3-0 at home. Does make me think that either Rugby have turned into prime Man City or maybe some people didnt put as much effort in for certain games. Today was strange, win 2-0 but could have lost 6-3. Great support as it alway...

Re: [ Sat 27th Apr ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

We could lose and still stay up. It would obviously need Rugby to get a good battering 5-0 or so and a narrow defeat for us.

Re: [ Sat 27th Apr ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Well it all comes down to this. Need as many fans there as possible. If any one is looking at going on the train, there is an option to Lichfield Trent Valley (just over an hour from Northampton) and then taxi to the ground (15-20 pounds for the taxi). This way avoids Birmingham and Walsall.

I thought Boldmere were a decent team with some good players and expect them to beat Rugby or at least draw. I believe we will get the win to keep us up.

Well, here we are. Last home game and a massive one at that. Play as we can and we will be fine. Cut out the silly mistakes and take our chances. I’m going for a 3-0 win and a draw at rugby v Walsall.

Re: Three Game Run-in

Gresley have to go and win at Corby which based on current form of both looks unlikely. We need a comprehensive win on Saturday and rugby to lose so the last day is a bit more comfortable.

Re: Three Game Run-in

So the final pieces start falling into place tonight. Shepshed v Gresley. If Gresley lose I think they are down, can’t see them getting anything at Corby. a win then the pressure is really on us for Saturday. A draw, well who knows! So many possibilities still with just 2 games to go. Shame our goal...

Re: [ Sat 13th Apr ] v Boldmere St Michaels, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Started off well but after about 10 minutes it was all Boldmere and they should have scored before they did. Penalty seemed very harsh from where I was but the ref wasn’t the greatest. Then for the last 30 minutes we played well again and got the deserved equaliser. Boldmere are not a bad side so ha...
