Re: Sir Keir Starmer visits Hayden Road

I have to agree with the majority on this, a few years after we started the club we had a number of meetings with Peter Bone and in fact ended up getting invited to Downing Street by Tom Pursglove. During that time I put any personal political views to one side for the benefit of the football club. ...

Re: [ Sat 27th Jan ] v Sutton Coldfield Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

What a job Michael and Tom are doing, there wasn’t one player on the pitch who played in the away fixture, this is their team in their mold, it clearly has a never say die attitude something we haven’t seen since Peaksy. We would probably have already conceded by the time we scored earlier in the se...

Re: [ Sat 9th Dec ] v Lye Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Oh and am sure they were nice people but the ground!, no toilets except in the clubhouse, no hot food, no drinks except from the clubhouse and no infill in the pitchside fence. They need to do a fair bit to get the ground up to ground grading standard.

Re: [ Sat 9th Dec ] v Lye Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

My first game for a while, when I saw the teamsheet I was extremely worried. However for 43 mins we absolutely matched them and were probably the better team, as previously said 2 poor goals and we trudge in at half time with no belief. It seems if the opposition can score 2 we won’t win as we can’t...

Re: Nuneaton in trouble

You could look at it another way. R&D Overspent, had a fantastic ride into the league and then crashed AFCRD - picked up the pieces had a fantastic ride to step 3, then reached the limit of our resources, manager left (look at him now!!), picked the wrong manager as a replacement then replaced h...

Re: New Manager: Michael Harriman - New Assistant Manager: Tom Lorraine

I think it’s a logical appointment, Michael has the pro game experience, knows what are good habits and what aren’t, Tom who bleeds AFCRD and knows a number of players at this level, I think they could do with another experienced assistant someone who has had experience at this level similar to the ...

Re: Chris Nunn Leaves

Its a real shame it hasn't worked out for Chris, I think he was the face the club needed at the time and he steadied the ship, he had a free ride for last season and when we started to string some results together we all thought that would be the benchmark for this year, but it just hasn't happened ...

Steve was crucial in helping us start our u18s, he was able to assemble a squad and worked with Starms. It was a pleasure to have known him
