Re: Congratulations Peaksy

Well done to Tamworth Diamonds and Peaksy in particular. I always thought this was a winnable game for Tamworth and so it proved. Superb winning goal😂 I'll echo that. It's striking to look at the directions the two clubs have taken since Andy Peaks made the move from the Diamonds - weren't the Di ...

To my knowledge, we have not been told by the NFA that we are playing Bugbrooke, or anyone. We haven't heard anything.

Update:

Walsall Wood have resigned from the NPL. As a result, the match at the weekend is obviously OFF.

Re: FIXTURE TBC [ Sat 2nd Nov ] v Walsall Wood, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

By way of an update here, the Club hasn't been informed that this match is postponed, nor have we had anything from the league to say that Walsall Wood have been suspended.

As it stands right now, the game is on.

Re: Quarter season review

As mentioned by others in this discussion, I am concerned about the attendances. It seems that we like to find excuses for the low turnout, even now suggesting that playing on a Saturday afternoon might be an issue. The board and all the volunteers do an incredible job and deserve more through the ...

Re: [ Tim Sams] - Recovering well - update

Brilliant to hear that Tim is on the mend. Really looking forward to seeing him at a forthcoming game. I had a similar experience to Amy playing 5-a-side football in 2021, with one of my friends having a cardiac arrest requiring multiple shocks from a defibrillator and a lot of treatment on the ...

Re: Quarter season review

I think a 5.5 score and a "must do better" verdict is incredibly harsh, probably not helped by posting immediately after arguably our worst performance so far this season. Whilst i'll admit it's becoming a case of 'what if', let's not forget that whilst we have chucked points away in the final ...

Re: [ Sat 28th Sep ] v Sutton Coldfield Town, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Delighted with the late goal and rescuing a point, late goals can often be the hallmark of a good team. But if we're honest with ourselves, we got away with it today and on another day against a team that could finish could have been well beaten, we were second best for 90 minutes and just too slow ...

Re: [ Tue 24th Sep ] v Grantham Town, KO 7:45pm NPLD1M HOME

Really was a tale of 2 halves, as we were very fortunate to not be 3 or 4 down by half time. Was a bit concerned when the team appeared second half with no changes, but after the 2 reds we literally dominated the game and recorded an emphatic victory. But with all the makes of a strange game, the ...
