Re: DIAMOND PLEDGES MATCHDAY 5: Corby Town FC (H)

Would love to see us win this one, so any home win and I'll pledge £10.

Re: [ Sat 23rd Aug ] v Mickleover, KO 3pm NPLD1M AWAY

Well at least Bruno took a 1-1 third time lucky! We are struggling in attack, and if Bruno were to go or be needed at Bedford, we would be seriously in trouble. Very early days and we certainly weren't expecting to winning every game this early on, but my concern is that we are still quite a way off ...

They are making some statement signings, now Tendai Daire and others, a draw in the end at their place perhaps want such a bad result.

That thread certainly makes depressing reading. Thank goodness we still have a club to be proud of both on and off the pitch. Rob and Alex, along with several others, have done a fantastic job steadying the club financially and now we can look forward to much better times, maybe/hopefully a place ...

A scraped over the line goal and having to rely on a Lewis Elsom masterclass in the second half, probably the ugliest win you'll ever see, but it is a win and congrats to Elliot, the staff and team for getting that first win!

Ironically I actually thought we played better against Rugby, but would ...

Re: [ Wed 13th Aug ] v Rugby Borough, KO 7:45pm NPLD1M AWAY

For 60 or so minutes we were on top, and deservedly ahead, it was a strong team performance, particularly liked our pressing game which was fairly effective as well, winning the ball up the pitch on a number of occasions.

But while I don't want to be too cynical at this early stage of the season ...

Re: [ Sat 9th Aug ] v Shepshed Dynamo FC, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Much better performance, we actually looked like a team unlike last week. Of course we should really have won it with a man advantage, the majority of the play and a fair few chances, but you can forgive it on the opening day and at least we didn't lose.

With a bit of better decision making in the ...

Re: [ Sat 9th Aug ] v Shepshed Dynamo, KO 3pm NPLD1M HOME

Resisted the temptation to post a knee-jerk reaction after last week, bitterly disappointing to waste the FA cup opportunity yet again and a poor and disjointed performance, but can appreciate that it is a new team that needs to gel, it came too early for this new team.

Excited for tomorrow and the ...
