Peaksy, Burgess and Maxwell were absolutely ridiculed for less. Interested to hear… Peaksy was slated year in year out by a number of fans, even by some of the current board members. Burgess was slated for a number of reasons and rightly so. Some completely boycotted the club, withdrawing all money and support under Maxwell. We’re currently on a 11 straight losing streak and heading towards the UCL rapidly. Why is the outlook different this time?
Maybe because virtually every fan was clamouring for him to be given the job, he was the best man for the Job, so he is not disliked.

Who we could attract to replace him given our budget constaints is another question ?

I think there's just more empathy from the fanbase in terms of what the club and Chris are trying to do, particularly in comparison to Burgess and Maxwell. Obviously in terms of Peaksy I think its just a case of the fans not realising how good we had it, it's painful (but also incredibly impressive) to see the success of Tamworth so far this season.

Ty Deacon and Lee Tomlin would be useful, not very likely though.

They would definitely help!! 😁. I think even 40/50 pounds extra to a player makes a big difference, factor in travel etc. Chris has mentioned previously about some players who we couldn’t quite attract due to being a bit short on what they wanted, I would expect those players to become signings now that the extra is available. Now is the time for it so looking forward to a few new faces in the team Saturday.

I think there are quite a few reasons. For Peaksy he built up a team over quite a few seasons and added quality to it very well at the right times. If you put together a team of Peaksy signings it would be good enough to win step 3 title. Unfortunately our finances meant we couldn’t have more that 3 or 4 at once but with sound recruitment around them we had a good team. Burgess was a difficult one as he had to build a team from scratch (pretty impossible in my opinion with limited funds). Maxwell was just a mixture of things, no experience when we clearly needed it and the whole board situation created major issues. Chris has the experience and connections, been at this level, knows it inside out and is liked by the fans. He is building a team and it feels like the Peaksy team building route again and now hopefully the quality additions can start being added to take us up the league. I honestly believe nobody is coming in and doing a better job than who we have now.

We have the worst record at Step 4 that much is for sure, Ipswich Wanderers in the ILN are also on 0 points but have only played 5 games. There are a few teams at Step 5 & 6 with a similar record to ours.

Hopefully Chris was told before Sunday & 7 dayers have gone in . Maybe the funds will go towards loan players. Either way be nice to have a few signings this Friday to show that we ain’t going down.

The attendances will defo go up and be the biggest in the league once we start wining

I think fans are weary of the toxicity that surrounded the last 2 managers, it was really damaging to the club. Let’s not forget those newly created profiles that whipped up so much bad feeling on here, they are quiet now fortunately
