Rumours that Nuneaton - led by a certain Lee Thorne - are on the verge of going bump again which could change the make-up of our division with Kings Lynn or Hednesford (Noooo!!!) being moved north. She Who Must Not Be Named was also involved with Nuneaton too wasn't she? Not surprised then if they are on the verge of failing.

If Nuneaton aren’t able to compete then I reckon Gainsborough Trinity would be reprieved.

Interesting read, all other people’s fault by the looks of Mr Thorne’s statement and it only seems like yesterday he was promising a bright future for Nuneaton.
As for that woman she doesn’t appear to be offering her help and excellent skills on a Director level for anyone at present. Reasonably recent resignations from Directorships were, 11-6-16 Boro leisure Ltd, 10-10-16 Turvey Mill Residents Ltd & 1-8-17 N’ampton Football Association Ltd. So has not only been helping local football but neighbors as was, wonder how those residents meetings went.

Surely there has to be some way to stop these people repeatedly doing this type of thing.
I'm sure all our fans can empathise with Nuneaton.

Dredging up an old thread here, but it seems like Nuneaton are right on the edge now. A twitter post from their Goalkeeper yesterday suggests that their players are now playing knowing they're unlikely to be paid for it and he has also revealed the players have been advised to look for new clubs.



Would this be the first reformed club to go under for a second time in the modern era or has it happened before?

It makes you wonder what's going on in that area, with nearby Hinckley also going bust in recent years. Interestingly Hinckley's reformed club shows no signs of getting out of Step 6 in what is now their 5th attempt at doing so although their average attendances have improved over time (238 last season).

The second actually I believe, Ilkeston Town went out of business in 2010, reformed as Ilkeston FC which then went out of business in 2017 and then they reformed again as Ilkeston Town who tbf have done well so far, promoted in the first season from step 6 (same league as Hinckley, albeit with much better crowds) and now top of the Midland Premier with average crowds marginally higher than us too. Hopefully they'll do it properly this time though and not have to reform for a third time...

Just goes to show how important it is to have an ethos of living within your means like what we have, sometimes it may be a little frustrating if our rivals are able to splash more cash around and nick the sort of players we'd hope to attract, but at the end of the day, long term sustainability has be prioritised over short term success and we all know where clubs like Billericay are heading in the long term, that sort of thing will likely never be sustainable.
