There could be big changes to the top seven positions over the next 8 days with Beaconsfield playing 4 games and Cambridge playing 3 games against top 7 rivals.

The "Big Match" tomorrow is Cambridge City v Hartley Wintney ( a draw would be a good result, for us). On Monday evening City are at home to CSP and next saturday are away at AFC Dunstable. That's a pretty tough schedule which could certainly make or break City.

Beaconsfield play at home tomorrow v Arlesey, then are away for 3 games in 5 days ,Tuesday to Aylesbury, Thursday at Hanwell and Saturday at Moneyfields.(whatever happened to them!). On paper none of them particularly difficult but the frequency of the games may take its toll....hopefully.

Other games:Tomorrow
Ashford v CSP
Egham v AFC Dunstable
Aylesbury Utd v Hayes
Monday. AFC Dunstable. V Barton
Tuesday : Hartley W v Thame

Sat 14th
CSP v Kempston
Hayes v Egham
Hartley v Uxbridge

Oh and of course Diamonds play 3 games v Northwood, Bedford and Aylebury Utd.

Got to be praying for a Cambridge City win today, given this is Hartley Wintney’s last difficult looking fixture of the season.

Your praying seemed to have worked well!

Here's a table of the maximum points each team could theoretically get as things stand.

With games between the top 7 left to come - and the increased fixture congestion, everyone will drop some points compared to this.

A win tonight will put us in good stead, and puts the pressure back onto everyone else.

I'd rather have points on the board than games in hand.

Beaconsfield - 74
Played 35
7 games left
Can get maximum of 95

Diamonds - 75
Played 36
6 games left
Can get maximum of 93

-------

Cambridge - 68
Played 35
7 games left
Can get maximum of 89

Hartley - 70
Played 36
6 games left
Can get maximum of 88

Dunstable - 69
Played 36
6 games left
Can get maximum of 87

Hayes - 74
Played 39
3 games left
Can get maximum of 83

------

Chalfont - 63
Played 37
5 games left
Can get maximum of 78

Updating this after Tuesday's games, I'd say the league is gone now - it's Beaconsfields to throw away, but promotion is still somehow in our hands.

Beaconsfield - 74

7 games left
Can get maximum of 95

Diamonds - 76
Played 37
5 games left
Can get maximum of 91

Cambridge - 68
Played 35
7 games left
Can get maximum of 89

Hartley - 73
Played 37
5 games left
Can get maximum of 88

Dunstable - 69
Played 36
6 games left
Can get maximum of 87

Hayes - 74
Played 39
3 games left
Can get maximum of 83

Chalfont - 63
Played 37
5 games left
Can get maximum of 78

Our most realistic hope of winning the league is for Beaconsfield to drop points at home tomorrow v Dunstable. Their remaining games are at Egham and Marlow.

You would think so but another week of 3 games might take it toll come Thursday or Saturday

I think that Egham away will be tricky for Beaconsfield, does anyone know when the Southern league play off dates will be? Thanks.

I think they are 1st and 7th May. What should be of more interest to us is Divisional Champions match at Taunton on May 5th.
