High & Lows for Diamonds last season.

Post by diamonds82 »

1. Best Goal of the season.

King goal against (home) Oadby, followed closely by Gearing goal against Spencer on the last day of the season.

2. Lowest point of the season.

Has to be losing to Oadby 5-1 at Oadby.

3. Worst Referee of the season.

The easiest one out the lot, the referee at home to Eynesbury Rovers, he was a awful ref, terrible the worst ref I've seen for years and years.

4. The highest point of the season.

Def last game of the season at Spencer closely followed by the 1-0 win at Sileby.

1. Best Goal of the season.

I will go for Sam's against Eynesbury (even though he shinned it) because of the importance.

2. Lowest point of the season.

I didn't go to Oadby or Eynesbury, so for me the lowest point was the draw with BPW

3. Worst Referee of the season.

The idiot from K*ttering. Best referee wass Matt Lake

4. The highest point of the season.

The first game of the season

Best goal - has to be Kingies, 10 men 2-1 down to the self acclaimed best team in the league and beyond, and he came up with that, and even managed to make it look like he meant it.
Low points - not the 2 heavy defeats, but any 1 from 3 of the 2-2 home draws V Sileby, Oadby & Eynesbury all of which we could, should and deserved to have won and a draw felt good at full time, but like a defeat a few hours later.
Worst Ref - Only one candidate, we had a few not very good Refs and a few who did the rabbit in the headlight impression but to be fair to most of them they were doing their best. However only one turned up in a Clown suit and went home in a Joker costume, though both had a K*ttering shirt stitched inside.
High point - Last game at Spencer, all the work by lots of people was rewarded.

I will definitely take in as many games as I can. Where do the majority of R&D fans go for beers now pre match, in Wellingborough? Times have certainly changed from having 8 pints in the Rose treading on the sticky carpet admiring the framed Diamonds shirts on the walls, 4 or 5 in the strikers then floating around the De Banke like some kind of emperor

If there is a decent Lunchtime Premiership game then a few of us normally watch that in Wellingborough town centre, if not just normally have a couple in the dog and duck pub then go drink in the ground.
