Hmm... that white stuff?

Post by mattreddan »

I don't know how many of you live around the Wellingborough area, because i'm told that its not really happening many other places, but I'm sure i'm not the only one whos getting sick of the snow now? It was fun for the month it lasted, but then we've had a break and now MORE BLOODY SNOW. I looked outside in my garden about 30 minutes ago, and I could see the garden floor. 10 minutes later, theres about 3-4 inches of it covering everything! Its been coming down all day, but wasn't settling because of the floor being wet from last night, but now its settling, and coming down faster and harder than i've seen in the past month or 2. I HATE SNOW.

I actually like it. It covers up minor imperfections in the environs, such as no leaves on trees etc.

If one knows how to drive in snow, then it rarely stops people socialising.

SO.................bring it on!

The trouble is though mate nobody does know, it pi55es me right off when they panic and then have no idea.  I absolutely love driving in the snow (car or artic) but get soooooooo frustrated when I see idiots that can't drive making unnecessary journeys.  If you can't drive in the snow stay in and wait for the fekking thaw.

I live near town called Blois in the Loire valley, 200km south of Paris, about half way between Tours and Orléans.

We have not had very much snow here since christmas. We had about 4cm last weekend, and that stayed on the ground in patches until thursday because the temperature has remained so low.

Pleased to report that as of yesterday, it has been much warmer, with clear blue skies. Very sunny today. I'm hoping for more of the same tommorow morning for biking 50km along the side of the river.

My mother lives in Irchester. She was talking to me on the phone yesterday evening, saying the roads were snowy, and she was watching the traffic crawling along at snails pace. She was complaining that is very cold there right now.

So, wrap up warm back in Blighty, and I hope you see some nice weather soon. :)
