Not sure whether this was in the paper or not, but hopefully will rouse a few into action, and get a fantastic crowd!

About blooming time !!!
Good article, I know of one person who has missed a good few games recently who is coming today, he's just sent me a text, hopefully a few more will after reading that, we can but hope..........................................................they'd better not be stood in "my spot" of the PDB when I come rushing over later though, off to work now, watch out for a red car moving very swiftly at 2pm up the A6, you have been warned !!!

Good to see this happening though. It's about time!
Got to be definite proof that stories are taken straight out of here!PigmanRDFC wrote:Another avenue would be to start getting some positive press going in the local rag (Mr Lea? I know you read this board!!), encouraging people to come down and get behind the side's push towards the play-offs (or maybe more????).

Well it's been a while, well 2 years since I last went, but know I'm back, well for today anyway, so don't blame me if we lose.
Hopefully I'm not the only say away that's going/coming back today.

Well, you've missed a load of shite generally, but this season has been a transformation under JEMS. Welcome "home" 8-) . Win, lose or draw today this club NEEDS you !ron manager wrote:Well it's been a while, well 2 years since I last went, but know I'm back, well for today anyway, so don't blame me if we lose.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking to hope for a repeat of the sort of crowds we saw for this game during our original stint in the Conference (anyone remember the Boxing Day game back in 1999 when the car parks were full about an hour before kick off ?), but let's hope for a real increase in the gate today. It's a shame there are two FA Cup games on ITV, but the Cobblers aren't playing, and K*ttering are at Barrow, so we might attract a few locals looking for a live game to watch.
This is the biggest game we've had since our return to the Conference - and arguably the biggest game from a positive viewpoint since the Max Griggs days.

Nice to read that (although it wasn't actually written by Mark Lea).
I'm starting to feel quite optimistic about the game, wish I could be there :(
Hopefully we'll see an extra couple of hundred home fans than the usual, and a big travelling support. I wouldn't be surprised if we break the 2000 mark.

Good point, I imagine you'll be right as it's an attractive game to go and watch as the article states, I'll be happy with 1200/1300 but if we can get more that would be great.Formic wrote:Perhaps it's wishful thinking to hope for a repeat of the sort of crowds we saw for this game during our original stint in the Conference (anyone remember the Boxing Day game back in 1999 when the car parks were full about an hour before kick off ?), but let's hope for a real increase in the gate today.
