I don't know if i've ever shared this story on here, but if I didn't.....davealbon wrote:Have you told Raunds to make sure they are well stocked up on burgers?! ;) :lol:bozzer wrote:will be none other than the living legend that is Lee Tomlin
Lee Tomlin and David Bell were sat infront of me at a home game last season - i think it was Luton - half way through half-time Lee turned to Belly and said ''Are we going to McDonalds then or what?" Bell looked at him like he was mad, saying that he'd come to watch the game. Lee then told him that it would only take five minutes and that they should go for old times sake. He then convinced Bell to drive and i'm certain they never came back.
The whole conversation was hysterical  .
I remember hearing years back that Tomlin was frequently going to McDonalds and it got to the point where it was being considered a problem. I'm guessing you heard the same Dave!
On a serious note though. What a player, and great to see someone like him showing their support for the new club.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Even those of us who have no contacts around the club heard that one ;)BartonRaz wrote:

I watched the highlights of Saturday's game on my laptop a couple of days ago. I don't know if it was the widescreen resolution, but he looked chubbier than ever! :lol:bozzer wrote:he gave those up when garry hill left didn't he!!

Just returned from the POSH game tonight against Middlesborough and Lee struggled to get in the game.

Good on ya Lee, it really does boost morale to know that people are still supporting us.
If the sell-on clause in his contract becomes non payable due to the liquidation of RDFC, perhaps he could persuade his current employers to make a tiny donation, say 0.1 %, of any future transfer fee to AFC R+D.
