Clearly it isn't the clubs fault, but this will doubtless impact on attendances.

Hopefully it will encourage a few more to join up to the trust.

Indeed. Although I'm a season ticket holder, my first reaction was what the hell the club was playing at, but then after reading it, it's because of the Conference Board being moronic over the whole issue of away fans paying the same as home fans.

Not too late to buy a season ticket at £270 or whatever it is either. 23 home games at £17 is £390.

Yes, I know most people can't afford it. Just saying...

It's ironic this edict has been made just after Stevenage left the Conference - as they would have suffered significantly with this rule. The other club that will suffer are Forest Green - so it's ironic that they both had high ranking presence in the Conference hierarchy in recent seasons.

Bloody hell! Although I took a bit of a chance to think about this:

£12 x 23 games as a concession = £276

Season ticket = £155.

Over £100 saved, bargain! :D

On a serious note though this is going to surely impact on any fairweather support we might have had coming in at the start of this season? My Dad came along to a few home games last season but I'm sure him and others in the same kind of situation will surely stop. Great news for season ticket holders but shit news for everyone else. :(

Ed: Not sure how much it'll impact on away attendances but it's taking me a bit of time to get my head round it. £17 for Conference football! And to think last season we could bleat on about how bad K*ttering's prices were, shoe's on the other foot now!

We should open up the Airwair to the home fans now the prices are the same. If you're paying £17 for entry to the stadium you might as well get the best view and acoustics. Discuss. ;)
