Every other time I've heard of a cup-tied player, the team has been removed from the competition. I'd definitely push this all the way or at second best get a re-match!

I couldn't say. The final is 14th April so i'm sure it will be sorted out ASAP. The club haven't contacted the league about it. A player made a query regarding the rule in general and was told its being investigated. Not getting involved really. Down to the league to clarify their rules and if what we have said is correct then they need to follow up on their disciplinary actions

It's unlikely anything will happen over the weekend though.

Breaking news:

Roade have been removed from the competition due to fielding an ineligible player during the semi final. Therefore AFC Rushden and Diamonds Ladies have been reinstated. We are now in the final Sunday 14th April at Raunds FC. K.o is 11.30am. However this will be dependant on whether Roade appeal the decision.

The NWFL website has now been updated with the statement that Roade have withdrawn from the plate, giving the AFC R&D Ladies a walkover in last week's game, and listing the final between AFC R&D Ladies and Thorplands Ladies on Sunday 14th at 11:30 - at Thorplands Home Ground in Wootton (Northampton not Beds). Wootton Community Centre, Curtlee Hill, Wootton, , Northampton NN4 6ED.

I see Billing Ladies have won their game in hand in the League today, which will mean the Ladies will have vital games on consecutive weekends to win the League and Plate double.
