Disappointing loss, especially with Dolman set to miss games. Hopefully we'll see a big reaction on Wednesday!

We certainly can't complain having been on such a splendid run of league matches (and away games) - it had to end sometime, and the wind and rain of Surrey proved to be the backdrop.

It was a shame the ref had a "game of two halves" - letting all kinds of dissent and bad tackles on Claudio go unpunished then suddenly flipping to the extent he couldn't even keep a grip on his cards (literally). The conditions clearly played a part for both the red cards (although we were relieved he didn't show a third red towards the end - fortunately that incident was a lot further from the two benches, who, like the players, could easily sway his "decisions"), as they did for the Quigley booking in the first half. I'm not sure if he was taken off at half-time because of that, but we were a shadow of the side we've seen this season without him in the second period.

It might now give Peaksy a chance to rest a couple of the players who have appeared "undroppable" while we were unbeaten in the league.

Not the best away day we've ever had. Lacklustre start and we never really clicked at all, but the conditions played a part in influencing that. No need to panic, a defeat was always going to come somewhere, and it's a good chance for Peaks to take a deeper look into his squad. Obviously the biggest disappointment was losing Dolman - think we might need to make an emergency CB signing before Weds?

Nothing to worry about. We were going to lose a game at some point. The main thing is that we return to playing composed football and winning.
2 wins from our games in hand and we are top again, with a couple of games to spare.
The pressure is on the other teams to keep the pressure on us.

I'd forgotten what it feels like to drive 100 miles to see us have an absolute mare. It's been a good few years!

No getting away from the fact that we were poor today. The weather wasn't great but it was the same for both sides and to be honest we didn't deserve to take anything from the game. Twice in the last 4 games we haven't really looked like scoring which is very unusual for us. It's easy to blame the strikers for that but the service into them today was pitiful.

Agree with previous comments about the referee. Thought he could have got away with yellow cards instead of the two reds he dished out, and the enthusiasm with which he charged over to players from both sides to brandish cards for little or nothing was childish.

Not sure how deep he can look to be honest, the squad is looking very thin and having Dolman suspended for 3 games is a serious issue for us IMO.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Doesn't suspensions at Step 4 level take 2 weeks to kick in? If so, it will give Andy a bit of time to look at temporary centre back cover.

He is certainly going to miss the games v St Ives and Royston and not sure if the other one is Petersfield or Hanwell.

I wonder if Darren Purse would be available?

Quigs picked up a knock early on, groin strain I think, hence his departure at the break.

And as Trek has said, suspensions still don't kick in until 14 days after the "offence", so Bully will miss Petersfield (A), St Ives (H) and Royston (H). He was livid after the game and wants to appeal the decision, but there's no way in a million years the FA clowns will overturn that decision.
