Not a big surprise really, in fact I'm surprised he stayed with the club as long as he did. If he wanted to play football again then he had to go. With the current squad he would of been lucky to even make the bench most weeks.

I've always rated Gilly, right from when he shone for the R&DFC Youth side. He's one of these players who you are never too sure what his best position will be once he's determined how much time he is able to commit to football. I think I've seen him play in every position on the field.
