Good that we managed to get a friendly at this short notice.

Not a bad team historically, Kempston Rovers always used to play them pre season. Sure we will beat them by 3/4 but a good run out.updiamonds wrote:Good that we managed to get a friendly at this short notice.

Maybe we will get to see the elusive Messrs Dolman and Confue.

I see Codicote beat Kempston 4-1 in a friendly last Saturday:Brownie wrote:Not a bad team historically, Kempston Rovers always used to play them pre season. Sure we will beat them by 3/4 but a good run out.updiamonds wrote:Good that we managed to get a friendly at this short notice.

Slightly O/T, but Hinckley AFC are 8-0 up at half time today, bit better than the 1-6 in midweek
We're 1-0 down apparently.

Stayed 1-0 by the looks of things.
Some interesting results in the UCL Prem - Oadby, despite recruiting Jake Newman & Nat Liburd in the week, went down 3-1 at home to Eynesbury who apparently played a good chunk of the match with 10 men.
Holbeach required an 87th-minute winner to beat Desborough 2-1 at home. Although they dominated the game from all accounts, the money men who assembled that powerful squad would have had every right to expect a much more convincing result from that fixture.

A disappointing result if ever I saw one. We seem to be blowing a bit hot & cold at the moment which I find worrying.
