I think the guys and girls who volunteer their time to the club deserve so much credit.

Myself and my dad helped out last season by cleaning the changing rooms after every game, and also picked up rubbish, we have helped out this season, clearing the rubbish after games when time has allowed.
For some reason this season, W'Boro decided to bring their own people in to clean the changing rooms, even though I thought we did a great job last season :|

I think the lack of people coming forward to help is down to one thing, people will say "Oh, someone else will do it!" The honest answer is, no they won't. What would have happened if myself and my dad had gone with that attitude? No one would have been there to clean the changing rooms, and the guys who already were volunteering would have had extra work to do.

You're right D4eva - I think things written here and on social media sites often get taken out of context, it's sometimes hard to get the true meaning over in the written word.

We support the same team and feel the same feelings elation and disappointment at the highs and lows - we should be pulling together.

I'd urge people to volunteer and help the club too, it is good fun and you do feel a real buzz of having helped, I work with volunteers all week long in my day job and understand far better now the feelings of satisfaction they get and what motivates them.

You give what you can when you can - we're looking for someone with particular skills at the moment to insert a broom into Chas' nether region as we feel he can do a little more on match days ;)

Any community body that desires but does not insist on its' members volunteering to serve generally tends to end up like a football match - lots of people watching a small number of people work their socks off. It's a great bonus people who volunteer do so with pride and a love for the football club, hopefully standing the various frustrations of volunteering as long as possible. :)

1- Ring 999- ask for Ambulance

2- Ring 999 ask for the Police

3- Ring 999 ask for the Fire Brigade.

See who says people don't want to help out ;)

If anything mate you are just too friendly and helpful. You could be chief steward with that kind of attitude.

I'll see if I can arrange a fight just so you get value for money

Seriously, we are in a no win situation at the moment. If we don't steward the matches and it kicks off, then we get fined, if we steward the games with extra stewards we get slagged off for spending money, if anyone has a bright idea on how to steward games at no cost then let me or Chas know.......................Oh yeah, why don't people volunteer for it 8-)
