Youngster Tom Bender has suffered a suspected broken neck and serious spinal injuries after getting sandwiched between his own keeper and a Tranmere attacker.

Pleased to read he's now been released from hospital and that his injury is nowhere near as bad as first feared. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

A group of my mates went to the game and were right near where it happened. I've seen the 'challenge' and there was absolutely nothing in it. It's amazing how he suffered the injury he did, considering similar happens probably upto 50 times a game!
