They should beat us comfortably tonight, but then they should have done last time we played them at Shitfields - we had an injured Tom Liversedge up front basically hopping around on one leg, while they had Rene Howe leading the line - yet we all know how that panned out.AFCRD_Dan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:25 am Don’t quote me on it, but I’m sure I saw somewhere George Rose moved on from Newport, so he won’t be eligible.
As for the game, I will be there, I’m not expecting us to get a result, but you never know we may catch them on a bad day and pull off a surprise.
I just don’t want us to disgrace ourselves by getting thumped by them, otherwise it will be a nightmare on Twitter/X after the game with one K*ttering fan who’s obsessed with us gleefully announcing how they beat us, and how we’re potentially going back where we belong, I’m sure you all know who I’m referring to.

You ain't kidding! The Moulton debacle last season springs immediately to mind!SouthRushdenJFC wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:24 am The NFA make the rules up as they go along with their County Cups. I would be surprised to see Pigman and Stagman upfront :-)

Fantastic result and a great end to the playing season. Let's hope the FA committee reach a favourably decision if a few weeks time and we can all put the last 2 seasons behind us and look ahead to another season at Step 4.

Amazing performance from the lads tonight! The scum had the better of the play in the first half, but we defended superbly, and on the odd occasion they managed to create something they contrived to f*ck up the opportunity quite impressively. Second half though we wanted it more than them, and I thought we looked the more likely to score until they put us under the cosh in the final 10 minutes.
F*cking loved Jarvis' reaction after scoring his penalty, two great saves from Heath, and how cool was young Isaac Redding, just stroking the winning penalty into the top corner like it was a training session!
Awesome scenes afterwards, just what we deserved after the season we've had!
