John Ruddy - 4 appearances 2005/06 season - came on as sub goalkeeper for Wolves in their big game against Manchester City yesterday.
I'm not sure whether we can count him as an ex-player but Ade Akinfenwa also played in the play-offs for Wycombe - his Diamonds contribution was 1 game as an unused substitute triallist in a pre-season friendly!
Actually, he was an unused sub on 6 league game occasions in the Brian Talbot era. Was during December and January of the 2003/04 season
There is a small section on it in his book >
He mentioned Onandi Lowe as the best player he'd ever trained with.

We'll be lining up against Chris O'Grady next season. He's joined Ilkeston having been out of the game for 2 years.
Another player in the long line of those during the Barry Hunter side, that were sh*t for us but went on to have half decent careers for other sides.
Chris OGrady
Greg Pearson
Jamie Young (down under)
Gary Mulligan
Scott Shearer
Kev Braniff (league of Ireland)
Easy to see why Hunter go given some high profile football scouting roles!
On another note, I fully expect Ilkeston to be up in the top part of the league next year.

I think Ilkeston could be very strong next season. Alongside O'Grady they've signed a couple of other ex-pro's in Jamie Ward & Ben Turner. They've also signed Kalern Thomas from Coalville

I have them down as one of the favorites to win the league next season. They draw big crowds for the level, are clearly a club with momentum and a bit of money. Could be looking at a Peterborough Sports scenario. Just with some supporters involved this time!
With Bully and Alex joining Tamworth, it does show Andy Peaks lack of contacts, but a lot of us noted that during his time with us, with former players coming back, leaving, then coming back again. Tamworth could be the new Banbury United!
Unfortunately I don’t think it will be the last of our squad joining Tamworth, and possibly a few ex players could join Andy. Would like to see the club announce a few new signings, if only to lift the mood after losing two of our players.
Isn’t there a limit of how many players another club can sign from a team in the same league?
With that being said, I’ve got faith Burge will have a bigger pool to aquire signings.
