Non League is complicated for the administrators as you always get teams that fold, refuse promotion or fail to make the ground grading or just moan about the allocation they have been given.

If everybody behaves its quite simple, 3 teams relegated from each division, champions promoted then League playoffs followed by inter division playoffs to get the final promotion places.

Why not just relegate 4 teams from each division at step 2, then winners and playoff winners from step 3 go up?

Hate these inter-divisional playoffs!

The rules for promotion from Step 4 are especially strange, making me even more glad we gained promotion last season. I'll be happy if we avoid worrying about these rules at either end of our division next season.

It seems a little unfair that two Step 4 teams will win their divisional playoffs but miss out due to PPG. It would have been better to add a further two matches involving the four playoff winning teams with the lowest PPG to cut the 7 playoff winners down to 5.

As you say Formic, it's nice that we don't have to worry about those rules in particular!

That is utterly ridiculous! So the two teams going into the Step 4 play offs with the lowest PPG already know that they can't possibly get promoted regardless of happens. Well done FA, you've surpassed yourselves this time. :clapping:

I don't think the National League are overly keen to have 8 teams relegated from its leagues per season.
