There might be a risk this game will actually go ahead given, after this evening, we have 3 dry and relatively warm days forecast.

At last hopefully a home game. I do think there are improvements to be made after last Saturday, in which we looked too 4 4 2 compared to our best formation. For that reason I'd use Punter as 3rd centre half and Brownie ( Sam) as left wing back as a straight replacement for Luke, with Joel on the right.

Hard-fought win that. Think that’s 17 unbeaten now? Also great to keep another clean sheet and maintain the best defensive record in England. Dolman was excellent once again, marshalling the back line throughout.

Elsewhere, Cambridge lost at home to Hayes and AFC Dunstable dropped points with a draw at Moneyfields, who to be fair just had the one red card today.

Everything was nervy as hell today especially the second half. Basically the same formation as last week and despite getting the wins, we need Luke back in the team. Good effort by the lads defensively to dig out the 3 points.

Was relieved when the final whistle went today, the last 10 mins seemed like there was never an effort to get out their own half which thank god didn’t prove costly..

Other than that a good team performance to bag the 3 points.. but a mention must go to Tom Lorraine who in my opinion has improved immensely in the last few months and with another well taken header today.. just hope his injury ain’t serious.

Wasn’t the most attractive of games but I thought Chalfont might grab something before the game started, so all in all a great 3 points and most importantly a clean sheet :good:

That was a really tough test against one of the division’s in-form teams. We passed it, but if Chalfont had taken something from the game I don’t think we could have complained. Neither team created a great deal and it was a great header from Lorraine to win. He really shouted out in pain when he went down injured so fingers crossed It’s not as bad as it sounded.

Deighted that we have survived Fairlamb’s suspension relatively unscathed but we need him straight back in the team to restore balance to the side.

It’s a shame that Hayes and Hartley seem to be winning relentlessly which is keeping the pressure on. Hayes face ourselves and Hartley on back-to-back weekends at the beginning of March and have a very interesting tie against Beaconsfield on the penultimate weekend of the season.

We’re up against another form-team in Uxbridge on Tuesday, who have won their last 3 league games.

Aylesbury twice and Fleet all by single goal. So we should not be too concerned.

It will be about us not Uxbridge but with Luke Fairlamb back on the left we should be OK.

Westwood was not the answer for us yesterday despite providing the cross that brought our winner. Joel is more effective on the right which we sadly missed and it seemed to me that we conceded too much midfield possession and I think Curtis should have remained on the pitch but Andy was happy to play a tactic of defending our lead which ultimately succeeded but it was a close run thing. It was no coincidence that Ben Heath was given the MOTM award and he made that excellent save in the second half. With a bit more quality then Chalfont would have certainly got something out of the match.
