3-3 normal time, K*ttering win 5-4 on pens. Their fans celebrate like they've won the world cup even though we're apparently not rivals. Rumour is that one of our lot headbutted Law at half time though!

More importantly, Lamb vs Law in the welterweight title fight at half time according to Twitter...

This better not be true

A K*ttering fan and only an allegation, but clearly something serious went down at half time, not the first time this week K*ttering have had controversy.

Very strange night. I'm not sure I can recall a derby game when there appeared to be more animosity on the pitch than there was off it.

The very definition of 'a game of two halves', we bossed it during the first 45 minutes and K*ttering dominated the second. I don't think I've seen us defend that badly in a year or more, similarly I thought defensively they were particularly weak with a couple of ex-Diamonds playing based on past achievements and not current ability. It did at least lead to an entertaining game.

Never nice to lose to them but I certainly didn't lose any sleep over it. Having seen us play 5 matches against teams in the Southern League Premier and not lose a single one over 90 minutes, i'm quite confident without a single addition we would be comfortably within the top half of that league.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

BR has just summed it up perfectly, a game of two halves exactly, worst time to concede on the last seconds of the half and a needless challenge to make as there wasn’t a clear sight of goal..obviously that gave them the edge in the 2nd which made an exciting and frustrating 2nd half..

I was disappointed because the only thing the game was lacking was a red :joy: but no what a game which had drama, excitement, highs and lows. Would of liked another trip to six fields but oh well..

Not sure what to make of half time, but thought the segregation worked well and fans were great. Can’t be no complaints about the way they celebrated, wouldn’t we have done the same?? And remember sixfields anyone :joy:

Only thing that was embarrassing was the goal celebrations at the end? The rivalry will always be there no matter how many people deny it..

Whoever he was couldn’t seem to make his mind up.
Praising us in one tweet for looking fitter than them in the first half, then slagging us off. Agreeing with Jon that what happened between the players and officials was embarrassing, but then seemingly loving the fact that they celebrated like they’d won the World Cup. Typical K*ttering fan.

We’ll beat them when it matters. Our lads should be proud that they matched a team from the league above, we’re still unbeaten in open play. Now we can concentrate on winning the league.

K*ttering Town Official made a similar tweet with those allegations, according to Radio Diamonds, but minutes later they wisely deleted it.

Just watched the highlights, very soft penalty. Ref couldn't wait to give it.

That ranks with the playoff final at St.Ives in terms of how hard that was to take: if it hadn't been for that penalty - which I didn't see clearly, but I saw enough to know that it was a silly challenge from behind whether he got the ball or not - I think we probably would have been going to Sixfields. The referee didn't have a particularly good game at all and seemed to be letting the Poppies affect his decisions a great deal.

Ah well, there's always next year when we'll be able to beat them in the league and the cups! One good bit of news, there was definitely a new Diamonds fan born last night, I took a mate to his first ever live game of football and he had a great time.

Now let's go win the league!
