[ Mon 1st Jan ] v Bedford Town, KO 3pm ESE AWAY
Re: [ Mon 1st Jan ] v Bedford Town, KO 3pm ESE AWAY
Finally my home Town Club have got rid of their Chairman. Howell has been there 17 years with the last 7/8 being a nightmare. Announcement yesterday he’s gone and a local consortium which includes Jon Taylor the manager has taken over. All the best to them, repairing the damage may take a while.

Lee Kearns has also stepped down at St Notes, not that they are anymore now self funded. Wasted so much money just getting out the UCL.

It looks like there may be some money or good contacts behind the new set-up, assuming the loan signing of striker Paul Benson was organised by them - he's got a non-league pedigree well above SL1E.Brownie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:49 am Finally my home Town Club have got rid of their Chairman. No idea but assuming the Kearns clan, Mick and or Lee own it can’t see it being handed on. Not sure how if at all the may be other involvement with the training pitch.

JT isn’t short of good contacts anyway, previous appointments over the past 10 years include, Bedford x 2, Arlesey, St Neots, Stevenage, Banbury, he we the last manager of the old Hereford Utd and acted as a football consultant at Swindon about the time one P Di Canio was sacked, if he now has some financial help and those who refused to visit the Eyrie while Howell was there start to drift back the Eagles May some time soon soar again.Formic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 11:43 amIt looks like there may be some money or good contacts behind the new set-up, assuming the loan signing of striker Paul Benson was organised by them - he's got a non-league pedigree well above SL1E.Brownie wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 7:49 am Finally my home Town Club have got rid of their Chairman.
