Post by Dazzler »

Get on the FIFA12 Scarf!

Claim a place for your club on the world’s longest fan scarf. Post your message of support via Twitter or Facebook for the chance to have it knitted for real into a metre of world-record-breaking scarf.

One for the twitterers...

KEEP UP
For your chance to get on the scarf, you’ll need to follow EASPORTSFIFA on Twitter or Facebook. There are eight chances to get on the scarf, and we’ll send out alerts to our followers when each round kicks off.

ON TWITTER
If you’re a Twitter pro and want to tweet direct from your phone using your Twitter app, you must include #FIFA12SCARF and #hashtag your club and the colour you want your piece of scarf to be, e.g. #RED.

ON FACEBOOK
Like EASPORTSFIFA on Facebook and keep up with the banter to find out when each round kicks off. Make sure your News Feed is set to Most Recent to get the latest alerts.

CHEER PROUD
Keep it positive. Make a bold statement about your club only – heckling other clubs won’t get you on the scarf. Remember, we’ve all got to share the scarf, so respect your fellow players.

KICK-OFF
As soon as you get the kick-off alert for each round, come back to this site and write your message. Or tweet direct from your phone. Only the fastest will get their message on the scarf, so be ready. Know what you’re going to write in advance so you can be quick off the mark.

SCORE
If you’re fast enough, you message will be immortalised into football history on the longest fan scarf, and you’ll be part of the world record.

PROVE YOUR DEDICATION
There are eight rounds in total, so if your message doesn’t make the cut in Round 1, you’ve still got seven more chances to make history. Prove your passion for your club and keep striving to claim your place on the scarf.

KEEP IT CLEAN
We’ll be checking every tweet, every post. Any foul language will get your message sent off.
