I've got a bit of memorabilia taken from Nene Park I'll dig some out and donate to the club for displaying on the walls.

The Cross Keys or The Red Lion.

I know the ground is on old Sartoris land and which is representative of the red lion, but from a personal point of view I would like to see us play some homage to our Irthlingborough roots as well as I can see us slowly losing our link to Irthlingborough Diamonds.

So it’s the Cross Keys for me!

In another note, it’s great to finally have some decent beer in there. Now to really get people on there before/after games, we need to decorate it- maybe some framed shirts, old photos of club legends. Maybe a trophy cabinet? Certainly a dartboard.

Have we looked into getting BT sport or sky? I know it’s very expensive.
Buy that man a beer, he's pretty much nailed it with the ideas.

Can we have a substitute plastic dart board for days when we lose a match, just to be safe ;-)
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

Is there a more neutral name so it isn't so Diamonds related for Rushden & Higham?

Well a neutral name for the Bar would be 'The Cross Bar'

There's already been a few suggestions but how about (The) Annies Bar for both clubs? (The) being optional.
Or Andies Bar ?

Heres my first Post and idea for what its worth.

The Cross Keys and The Red Lion are pub names and not really a name for a bar. Can you image when an event is on people walking up and down the road looking for The Red Lion etc.

Thinking about it the bar is for supporters. OK, officials and player use it too but predominantly its for fans. As we like to think the fans are the 12th Man my suggestion is to call the bar The 12th Man.

This is in keeping with golf where the bar is the The 19th Hole
