Diamonds 300th match

Post by sussexdiamond »

The match tonight will be AFC R & D's 300th competitive match and to date have scored 696 goals. So can we celebrate tonight with four goals?

Wont be easy Thame have some good results recently against the top teams and are on the fringe of play off contenders. Last time out they beat Cambridge City and a couple of games before that beat Beaconsfield.

We will certainly need to up our game from recent performances.

Egham v Hayes is also ok to play tonight.

What a way to reach two mile stones!

Every season we score more than a hundred goals and averaging 2.33 goals per game over six seasons is quite a record.

The next couple of seasons are likely to be much harder though.

Presume it's safe to assume with that much detail you are correct Noddy with the 704 goals, and not Sussexdiamond with his 696 + 6 last night 702, or does that now mean someone is going back to Thrapston and counting.

Quite unbelievable to think that our forth highest scorer is a centre half and if he bags two more he'll be third. Afcr&d best ever signing! :clapping:

I am quite happy to bow to Noddy. When you get to my age numbers seem to get blurred. I am counting from memory, Noddy has it written down in front of him.
