For those excited about the BigFreeBet.Com Cup here is the full draw
AFCRD v Hitchin
Basingstoke v Marlow
Biggleswade v Kempston
Cinderford v Redditch
Egham v Hayes
Weymouth v Larkhall
Frome v Taunton playing Wednesday
Didcot v Chesham playing next week

7 Premier teams, 5 from the East and 4 from the West.
At least one East Division side sure to get into quarter finals.
Kempston having "lost" 6-1 in last round will be hoping that Biggleswade are a bit more charitable than Royston. Biggleswade would probably be the opponents if we get past Hitchin.

I would like us to get through to the semi or the final and play Weymouth down there in April or May. A nice weekend away in Lady Sussex's favourite resort.
Not too sure how keen clubs are on this competition at this stage but get through to the next round and it all becomes a bit more serious.

In the event of a draw after 90 mins what happens. Is it extra time or straight to penalties?

Judging by the fact that I've noticed Hitchin scouts at two of our games recently I'd say they are taking tonight's game fairly seriously.

Guess they felt they have to as we've been down there watching them. Could well be a decent game as little between the sides other than the A6 & A600.

Only Hitchin and Redditch of the Prem clubs make it through to next round.
Result of the night must be Kempston winning at Biggleswade and what a good result for Marlow.

Tonight showed we could more than hold our own in the higher division. With our regular starting midfield we would probably have won. None of the players coming in did badly but too many were out of position and it showed on occasions.
Credit to Hitchin they made it a competitive game and treated us with respect by playing 8 of last weekends starting team.

Bonus for the night was seeing Ross Oulton on the pitch and Dunstable dropping 2 points.

Even though we've crashed out the cup tonight, not a bad result for us in the league that dunstable drew 2-2 at Northwood.
Interesting stat in the st. Ives and st. Neots match which ended 1-1. Both the goals were scored by former afcr&d players in Declan Rogers and nabil shariff. I think that must be the first time thats ever happened.

I thought we were the better team last night despite making 5 changes from the weekend as opposed to Hitchin's 4. The depth of our squad at the moment is excellent.

Diamond was our best performer I thought, busy all evening and linking up well with Robbins in the first half. Darryl Smith put in a good performance in an unfamiliar position. The pitch played far better than on Saturday and looked far better too.

I thought Hitchin defended well but offered very little in attack and can perhaps count themselves slightly fortunate to have gone through. I think Ben Heath is a fantastic goalkeeper but it didn't look like he'd have saved a penalty if we'd still been playing now.

Hitchin made a few changes to their starting line up last night but progressed to the semi final after beating Kempston Rovers 2-0.
