Grinding out results like this is the sign of champions, long may this winning streak continue! Not exactly a classic but we got the job done. Thought Bedford were a good side though, we've lost against worse.

As expected the pitch ended any hopes of a free flowing performance. It required us to roll up our sleeves and dig in.

I'm pleased that currently we are able to win ugly, definitely the signs of champions.

Good to see Jacko back today. Not the best of pitches for him to make his return. Was the Bedford sub Gyasi Joel's brother ? For me the only anti climax was looking forward to see how our rivals got on only to discover none of them played! Nine on the bounce now, getting nearer the record.

I think it's time Ben Diamond took a starting place, quality player.

I agree about his quality, but who would you drop? Tom or Ryan? The first is playing out of his skin at the moment and the latter has just scored a hat trick that many of us are still talking about - who would be a manager eh?

Another new signing for Bedford last night, Steve Gentle has moved from Eynesbury, spent last season at Barton with a few other ex St Ives, and was of course part of the St Ives play off winning side. Also new at the Eagles is Jack Cassidy who has been Ricky Marheineke's right hand man at St Ives for a few years now, his specialist subject is defense which I guess explain's the above signing.
