Re: [ Sat 23rd Apr ] v Godalming Town, KO 3pm SL1DC HOME
I was on the De Banke in the second half and thought that Robbie Parsons could/should have had at least one penalty. Twice he jinked past 3 defenders both on the left and right of goal before being brought to a rather abrupt halt. If they were not fouls why was he not booked for diving? If he can pr...

Re: [ Tue 26rh Apr ] v Royston Town, KO 7:45pm SL1DC Playoff SF AWAY
Looking at their home record in past 10 games ( W6 D2 L2) not been particularly special, apart from 6-0 v Leighton and includes a defeat by Godalming, and of course that 1-0 win v Diamonds. If we can create the chances that we have done recently, particularly in the first half of matches, we have a ...

Re: Play off Opponents
I hope Sussex Diamond isn't on commentary this afternoon how depressing is he!!!! :fool: I may be, not sure yet. I would dearly love us to get promotion even if it is to only save us from the clutches of the Northern League. Usually I pore over the league and form tables for ages looking for a glim...

You may be right on one thing though. I can only see us winning on pens after 0-0 draws!sussexdiamond wrote:You sure that was a dream and not a nightmare and was it the semi or the final?.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:I just dreamt that we drew 0-0 AET to Royston and then lost 4-2 on penalties.

Re: Play off Opponents
We really have no chance whatsoever in the play offs, or of even beating Godalming tomorrow, or of beating Ploppies.
Just seven goals in the last ten games,(4 in one game) our recognized strikers injured, the only wins against teams in the bottom six.
Kidology or realistic?.

Re: Play off Opponents
The absolutely perfect scenario would be for us to finish fourth and meet St Ives at home in the final on Bank Holiday Monday in front of over 1000 fans.

Re: royston
Much prefer a trip to Royston than that dump we went to on Tuesday. It must be the tattiest ground in the League.

Play off Opponents
Royston beat Aylesbury 3-2 tonight. So as things stand at the moment we go to Hertfordshire next week, but of course a lot can happen on saturday. I cannot see us beating Godalming let alone expecting St Ives to slip up at North Greenford. Ploppies won 7-0 tonight so have boosted their GD, overtakin...

Just been looking at form guide and Godalming are unbeaten in their last 10 away games.
