Re: RDFC (3) CREWE (2)
JE mentions the game in his interview prior to the Grimsby game - on the OWS via the Diamonds Player. Things seem to be going from bad to worse on the injury front.

Re: RDFC 1 (Howe '64) AFC Dons 0
On the negative side looking at the stats, there were 259 fans less at NP this season for the visit of AFCW compared to last. 197 were stayaway Diamonds fans 62 were stayaway AFCW fans You aren't comparing "like with like" though, as the Dons game last year wasn't in the holiday season. T...

Re: Radio Northampton...
It was good to hear such a feature on the Diamonds on the radio - and a lot of sense was spoken too. (I confess I quite enjoyed R Northampton on the way home last night - hearing Geoff Doyle and colleague commentating on the Cobblers getting an equaliser in the 5th minute of mystery added time in ex...

Re: That's Howe to do it !!
I also wonder if the team last night set some kind of age record for the Diamonds - given the oldest player in the starting line-up was Shane Huke - aged 24. Perhaps it wasn't the youngest side we've fielded, as there weren't any teenagers in the starting XI, but I bet it's a while since the eldest ...

Re: FAO Dazzler
Did the prize get claimed last night ? I wasn't concentrating when the number was read out, and didn't see a board going round.

I believe he does - Workington (FA Cup A), Histon (A), Tamworth (A), AFC Wimbledon (H).wewantourdarbyback wrote:I'm trying to remember and I'm sure someone might be able to tell me. Does Corky have a 100% record with the armband?

Re: To anyone who went to Barrow on Saturday
I'm think we'll see Huke at CB tonight though. Yes - JE confirmed that in his interview yesterday. I'm looking forward to seeing Jamie Day for the first time tonight (in real action). I also think we could have a good partnership between Aaron O'Connor and Rene Howe when AZ is fit - but that looks ...

Re: Shariff loaned to Banbury
I thought he had a good pre-season, and hope he does well there.
I wonder if we have a recall option if our current striking crisis deteriorates - e.g. with a red card or injury at Barrow, with Farrell, O'Connor and Smith still on the injured list.

Re: New TV Deal ??
Assuming that is correct it doesn't sound too bad. The big problem with the Setanta deal was when they moved Tuesday night games to Thursdays - and then both teams concerned insisted their Saturday games were moved to Sunday - so clubs were inconvenienced who weren't even on TV - and we ended up wit...

JE on 442 and injury situation
There's a "free to air" interview with JE on the OWS - well worth a listen as he gives his thoughts on 442 and the injury situation - with some frustrating news regarding Aaron O'Connor's progress, and confirmation regarding Craig Farrell's injury.
